Side note, I realized that I didn't have writing in the ballot. I will leave the website where I got this ballot out of the post, but really they should have included it.
Louie deserved his Emmy for best writing, to quote a tweet about him, "he's won comedy, now what?"
Doyle from Gilmore Girls won an Emmy!!! He was also on Buffy. I really liked Game Change, too bad I didn't get to include writing in my Emmy competition....Blogger Fail.
Meg killed it, and I might just watch too much TV.....NEVER!
Drama Series (Meg)
"Homeland"---"Could also see this getting it, but it is the first season." My initial comments. Glad to see it win, Showtime subscribers will go up for the premiere. I am about to renew my subscription.
Actress in a Drama (Meg)
Claire Danes, "Homeland"---"I would love to see Claire accept it pregnant." Love that she won, Homeland is so good.
Actor in a Drama (Meg)
Damian Lewis, "Homeland"----"Could also be a winner." My original comment, I fully support this choice. His work is outstanding. Can't wait for season 2.
Supporting Actress in a Drama (Meg)
Maggie Smith, "Downton Abbey"--She is one of my favorite parts of Dowton Abbey.
Supporting Actor in a Drama (Neither)
Aaron Paul, "Breaking Bad"---I didn't expect him to get it a second time around, even though his work was amazing.
Comedy Series (Neither)
"Modern Family"---Well Modern Family dominated, and I think that the voters' love for this show is a little bit much, and there's much better tv out there. This is good tv, but not great tv.
Actress in a Comedy (Meg) Sad Amy didn't organize anything with all of them. The speech thing was funny. It is a shame, Amy didn't win.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, "Veep"--I still need to get around to Veep.
Actor in a Comedy (Neither)
Jon Cryer, "Two And A Half Men"---I don't want to knock Jon Cryer, but I am just wondering the taste level of Emmy voters with 2 and a half Men and Modern Family. I don't even watch 2 and a half Men.
Supporting Actress in a Comedy (Neither)
Julie Bowen, "Modern Family"--Not that she doesn't deserve it, but I now fall asleep to Modern Family.
Supporting Actor in a Comedy (Neither)
Eric Stonestreet, "Modern Family"--- Not that he doesn't deserve this award, but I wish they would spread the Emmy love outside of Modern Family.
Reality Competition Program (Meg)
"The Amazing Race"---Wishing I watched, or made my choices based on what the Emmy voters would choose.
Host for Reality Competition
Program (Neither)
Tom Bergeron "Dancing With The Stars"--Quick story, when Dancing with the Stars was a lowly Friday night show circa 2005, we used to watch it while getting ready to go out in college. Haven't watched it since, and I am shocked it turned into such a big show or has been on the air for so long.
Movie or Miniseries Series (Meg)
"Game Change"--The only one Meg watched....see my comments above. Wow, Tom Hanks.
Actress in a Movie or Miniseries (Meg)
Julianne Moore, "Game
Change"---"Toss up" I will always default to Connie Britton. But I did like Game Change, and I thought her performance was great!
Actor in a Movie or Miniseries (Neither)
Kevin Costner, "Hatfields & McCoys"--Probably still won't watch it, but 12 year old TV Lass would have been all over it.
Supporting Actress in a Movie or
Miniseries (Neither)
Jessica Lange, "American Horror Story"---I plan to watch this, but I am afraid I won't sleep.
Supporting Actor in a Movie or
Miniseries (Neither)
Tom Berenger, "Hatfields & McCoys"---I kind of wanted to watch this, but I wasn't up for frontier stories.
